Collection day
The lanes behind the boulevards
Main Boulevard and the arteries off it take any vehicle. The inner lanes are the problem, particularly in the older blocks, where parked cars on both sides leave less than a truck's width and a collection has to be timed for when those cars aren't there. If the address is a shop or an office rather than a house, tell us the building's loading hours. Some of the commercial blocks won't allow a load-out during trading, and that one fact decides the whole schedule.
None of this changes your monthly rent, which is based on the floor area you take and nothing else. It changes the collection quote, and we would far rather it changed the quote than the morning.
How a collection runsOne thing we do not do: cold storage
We do not offer refrigerated or temperature-controlled storage. Our units are dry, ventilated and pest-controlled, which is right for furniture, appliances, documents and household goods, and wrong for anything that needs to be kept cold. If you need cold storage, we would rather tell you now than take a booking we cannot honour.

Can you store shop fittings and stock from Gulberg?
Yes, and it's a large part of what we do here. Stock, shelving, display units, signage and the records a business is obliged to keep all store fine in a dry unit. What we can't take is anything needing to be kept cold, and anything hazardous or perishable.
Do I get an inventory I can hand to my accountant?
Yes. Everything is listed at intake and you get the list, along with photographs of the unit sealed. That matters more for a business than for a household, because it's the difference between an asset you can point at and a box you think you still own.
My lane is too narrow for a truck. Is that a problem?
It's a normal one in Gulberg and it doesn't stop the job, it changes it. A shuttle from the nearest point a truck can stand takes longer and needs more people, so it belongs in the collection quote rather than being discovered on the morning. Send a photo of the lane if you aren't sure and we'll tell you before you book.
Can I get to my things during the month?
Yes. Book a visit and your unit is open when you arrive. Businesses ask about this more than households do, and they're right to: stored stock you can't reach isn't stock, it's a write-off.
