The maths
How we work the size out
Every item carries the volume a crew would allow once it's wrapped and packed, which is quite a bit more than the object measures. A three seat sofa is about 35 cubic feet on its own and nearer 50 by the time it's padded and can't be stood on end.
We add those up, assume you stack to roughly seven feet, and then add twenty percent. That last part is the bit most calculators skip, and it's why their answers feel right on paper and wrong on the day: you need to get through the door and reach the back without emptying the whole unit onto the floor.
If you'd rather not count chairs, send photos of each room on WhatsApp instead. We size units from photos every day and it takes us about as long as it takes you to send them.
What the number doesn't cover
The rent, and only the rent. Collection and delivery are a separate quote, because a third floor with no lift is a different job to a ground floor with a driveway.
Packing materials are included when our crew packs. Access visits are free for the first hour on 48 hours' notice.

About the calculator
How accurate is the storage calculator?
It's an estimate, and a fairly careful one. Each item carries the packed volume a crew would actually allow, not the size of the object, because a sofa takes about half as much space again once it's wrapped. On top of the total we add 20 percent so you can open the door, walk in and reach the back without unpacking everything in front. Most households land within one unit size of what we'd quote after seeing photos.
Why does it ask for cubic feet but quote square feet?
Because they answer different questions. Volume is what your things take up; floor area is what you rent. We stack to about 7 feet, which is as high as things can go without becoming a hazard, then work back to the floor area that needs. If a calculator only asks for floor area it's ignoring the fact that your unit has a ceiling.
What if I'm between two sizes?
Take the smaller one. Units can usually be swapped upward part-way through a stay, whereas rent on space you never fill is simply gone. If you're genuinely borderline, send us the list and we'll tell you honestly which way to go.
Does the price include collection?
No. The figure here is the monthly rent for the unit. Collection and delivery are quoted separately because they depend on where you are, which floor you're on and whether there's a lift. A ground-floor house ten minutes away and a third-floor flat with no lift are not the same job, and one flat fee would mean one of you paying for the other.
Can I use this for business stock?
Yes, though the item list is built around households. For pallets, racking or shop fittings the volume maths is the same but the shapes aren't, so it's worth a conversation. Business storage is the same rate as everything else, PKR 200 to 250 per square foot per month, with no commercial surcharge.
