Clifton is vertical, and that changes the work. Towers, older blocks, limited kerb space and buildings with their own rules about when a lift may be used for a move. The furniture is usually the easy part. Getting it from the eleventh floor to the truck is the part that needs planning, and the part most quotes get wrong.

What decides it is the volume you actually have, not the number of bedrooms you started with, and two houses of the same size rarely need the same unit once one of them has sold its wardrobes and the other hasn't.
The rent covers the space and the security. Collection and delivery are quoted separately, because a third-floor flat with no lift and a ground-floor house are not the same job, and pricing them the same means one of you is paying for the other.

Collection day
The lift, the loading window and the kerb
Three things decide a Clifton collection and none of them is the furniture. First the lift: whether there's a service lift, what it will take, and whether the building requires it booked. Second the building's rules, because a number of blocks here won't allow a move-out during certain hours and will turn a crew away at the door. Third, where the truck can actually stand, which on some of the seafront roads is not outside your building. Tell us those three when you book and the day runs. Leave them and the day becomes an argument with a building manager.
None of this changes your monthly rent, which is based on the floor area you take and nothing else. It changes the collection quote, and we would far rather it changed the quote than the morning.
How a collection runsOne thing we do not do: cold storage
We do not offer refrigerated or temperature-controlled storage. Our units are dry, ventilated and pest-controlled, which is right for furniture, appliances, documents and household goods, and wrong for anything that needs to be kept cold. If you need cold storage, we would rather tell you now than take a booking we cannot honour.

My building only allows moves at certain hours. Can you work around that?
Yes, and you should tell us the window when you book rather than on the day. A four hour window is a different job from an open day and needs a different crew size to finish inside it. That belongs in the quote.
There's no service lift, only a passenger lift. Is that a problem?
It's normal here and it doesn't stop the job. It does mean more trips, more time and sometimes taking apart things that would otherwise go whole, so it needs to be known before we price the collection rather than discovered at the eleventh floor.
Can I store the contents of just one room?
Yes. Units are rented by the square foot, so you pay for the floor area you take rather than for a fixed room size. One room's worth of furniture takes one of the smaller units on the rate card.
Is my unit shared with anyone else's things?
No. Units are separate and lockable and nobody else's goods share your space. We photograph the seal at intake and again at retrieval, so the gap between the two is documented rather than assumed.
