Storage in the F sectors
What a the F sectors job usually looks like
The old F sectors hold the largest houses in Islamabad and some of the oldest furniture in the country. They also hold a population that rotates. Postings end, contracts finish, and people who spent four years filling a very big house have three weeks to empty it. Storage here tends to run longer, and to involve things that can't simply be bought again.
Most households we collect from the F sectors land on a 10 x 20, which is 200 square feet and runs PKR 40,000 to 50,000 a month. That is a guide and not a quote. What decides it is the volume you actually have, not the number of bedrooms you started with, and two houses of the same size rarely need the same unit once one of them has sold its wardrobes and the other hasn't.
The rent covers the space and the security. Collection and delivery are quoted separately, because a third-floor flat with no lift and a ground-floor house are not the same job, and pricing them the same means one of you is paying for the other.
Who calls us
Why people in the F sectors take a unit
Storage is rarely something anyone planned for. These are the three reasons we hear most often from F-6, F-7 and F-8, Islamabad specifically.
Postings and contracts ending
Missions, development agencies and international organisations cluster in these sectors, and the people in them arrive and leave on fixed terms. We store between postings, sometimes for people who expect to come back to Islamabad and would rather not furnish a house twice.
Furniture older than the house
Inherited pieces, hand-made wood, and things that were bought once and won't be bought again. Everything is wrapped before it's lifted and photographed at intake, so if you ever need to prove condition you can, instead of relying on memory.
Letting a house unfurnished
A big F-7 house lets to a different and larger set of tenants empty than it does full. Putting your own furniture into a unit for the length of a tenancy is a cheaper decision than it first looks, once you compare it against what the furnished discount costs you over a year.
What it costs
The rate card, in full
One national rate. F-6, F-7 and F-8, Islamabad isn't priced differently to anywhere else we operate, so if somebody local is quoting you more for the same floor area, this is the number to hold them against.
Units, pay for the floor area you take
| Unit | Floor area | What it holds | Per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 x 5 | 25 sq ft | A studio or a single room. Cartons, a bed, a couple of appliances. | PKR 5,000 to 6,250 |
| 10 x 10 | 100 sq ft | A 1 or 2 bedroom flat, furniture and appliances included. | PKR 20,000 to 25,000 |
| 10 x 15 | 150 sq ft | A 2 to 3 bedroom house with its white goods. | PKR 30,000 to 37,500 |
| 10 x 20 | 200 sq ft | A 3 to 4 bedroom house, everything in it. | PKR 40,000 to 50,000 |
Units are billed at PKR 200 to 250 per square foot per month. Where you land in that band depends on the floor the unit is on and how often you need access. 1 month minimum. Collection and delivery are quoted separately.
Containers, a flat rate for the whole sealed box
| Container | Usable space | What it holds | Per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| 20 ft container | 149 sq ft1,170 cu ft | A 2 to 3 bedroom house. Sealed, and nobody else's things share it. | PKR 30,000≈ PKR 201/sq ft |
| 40 ft container | 304 sq ft2,390 cu ft | A 4 to 5 bedroom house, or a shop's full stock and fittings. | PKR 50,000≈ PKR 164/sq ft |
Containers are a flat monthly rate for the whole sealed box. The bigger the box, the less you pay per square foot. Compare the per-foot figures above against the PKR 200 to 250 unit band. Internal dimensions shown, not the external size the box is named after.
Not sure which row is you? The size calculator works it out from the furniture you actually have, or send us a list and we'll tell you.

Mature trees and older service lanes
These sectors were laid out before anyone was planning for three-tonne trucks, and forty years of tree growth has narrowed things further. Low branches over a service lane, a gate pillar set for a car, and a turning circle that works for a van and not for a truck are all normal here. None of it stops the job and all of it changes how long the job takes, so it needs to be known before the quote rather than after. A photograph of the gate and the lane tells us more than a description does.
None of this changes your monthly rent, which is based on the floor area you take and nothing else. It changes the collection quote, and we would far rather it changed the quote than the morning.
How a collection runsOne thing we do not do: cold storage
We do not offer refrigerated or temperature-controlled storage. Our units are dry, ventilated and pest-controlled, which is right for furniture, appliances, documents and household goods, and wrong for anything that needs to be kept cold. If you need cold storage, we would rather tell you now than take a booking we cannot honour.
Questions
4 questions people in the F sectors ask
These are specific to F-6, F-7 and F-8, Islamabad. The general questions about how storage works are answered in full on the FAQ page.
I'm posted out in three weeks. Can you move that fast?
Usually yes, and we'd rather you asked early and held a date than waited for the shipping to confirm. Tell us the size of the house and the date it has to be empty, and we'll tell you honestly whether that's one day or two.
Can you store some rooms and leave others for a shipment?
Yes, and it's one of the more common jobs in these sectors. Tell us on the day which rooms are going into storage and which are being packed for freight. The inventory records the two separately, so nothing ends up on the wrong list.
How do you handle antique or hand-made furniture?
It's wrapped before it's carried rather than after it's loaded, and it's photographed at intake and again when you get it back. Our units are dry, ventilated and pest-controlled, which is right for wood. What we don't offer is temperature control, so if something genuinely needs a climate-controlled environment we'll say so rather than take the booking.
Do you cover Rawalpindi from the same site?
Yes. Islamabad and Rawalpindi are treated as one service area, so a Chaklala collection isn't charged as an intercity job. That matters more than it sounds if you're splitting a household between two addresses across the twin cities.
Everything else, from what can't go into a unit to how billing works, is on the full FAQ.
